Cursed Forest

This illustration was created for a (fictional) card game challenge : "Trading Card Step Challenge".

There was no imposed artistic direction. So I was completely free to choose my approach for my card.
The title of the extension to the fictional game (Rise of the night children) was a great inspiration for choosing the storytelling for my game card. So I decided to explore a fantasy universe set in a forest that has fallen victim to a curse caused by a mysterious entity.

Note : The template for the card itself was given to me. I changed the title of course, and the colour of the card to be consistent with my illustration. I also wrote the description (this was a condition of the challenge rules).
It was a great experience and a lot of fun to do !
